The Opportunity
StaffRight Associates is recruiting for an elite defense technology and custom intelligence engineering firm to identify a Director of Growth and Strategy. For over four decades, our client has specialized in developing mission-critical software solutions, high-performance computing environments, and advanced intelligence platforms supporting the United States Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD).
Rather than focusing on aggressive revenue expansion or standard corporate sales, this executive leadership role centers on maintaining program excellence, driving recompete strategies, and aligning technical capability with operational mission requirements. StaffRight Associates is managing this exclusive search for a recognized Intelligence Community technical authority to serve as a trusted strategist across executive, technical, and partner ecosystems.
What You'll Do
- Lead the strategic evaluation and pursuit of high-impact opportunities across key defense and intelligence accounts.
- Direct end-to-end capture operations, federal acquisition engagements, and comprehensive proposal initiatives.
- Safeguard ongoing mission engagements by orchestrating high-yield recompete programs and contract retention models.
- Cultivate strategic industry teaming arrangements and cross-organizational partnerships to expand operational scope.
- Formulate actionable technical strategies by translating complex mission capabilities into tailored customer solutions.
- Align cross-functional engineering and program leadership teams to maintain organizational stability and client trust.
What You Bring
- Active TS/SCI Clearance With CI Polygraph. (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree In Engineering or a closely related Technical Discipline (a Master's Degree is preferred).
- 20+ years of progressive leadership within the Intelligence Community (IC) or Department Of Defense (DoD), including at least 12 recent years directly serving IC customers.
- Extensive technical expertise in Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Digital Signal Processing (DSP), or advanced Geolocation Technology.
- Prior direct service as a federal civilian employee within an IC agency, Program Manager, or COTR is highly desired.
- Demonstrated mastery of Federal Acquisition procedures, including response development for RFIs, Sources Sought, RFPs, and complex proposal efforts.
- Proven track record leading multidisciplinary technical teams without traditional business development quotas or sales metrics.
Compensation & Total Rewards
- Base Salary Range: $190,000 – $225,000 annually.
- 401(k) Retirement Plan: 25% employer contribution.
- Health & Insurance Coverage: 25% Individual Benefit Account (IBA) covering standard insurance premiums.
- Paid Time Off: 8 weeks of PTO.
- Professional Development: 100% reimbursement for tuition, course books, and industry certifications.
